Good article. Perhaps the issue it bread and circuses, perhaps it's lack of faith in the establishments. It's generally accepted that politians lie, so there's no clamour over Bush's lying. And he's not even honest enough to admit his mistake. I don't actually know enough about most issues to even be sure of my opinion on them... it doesn't help that I don't trust the press either.

I would think the lack of faith in the establishments would only increase people complaining. I'm pretty sure that it's either people just too jaded by the constant stream of crap happening, or just not trusting the media.
