I was reading this article on Popfly, and the screenshot of Popfly's UI reminded me of Swordfish. You know, the scene where Hugh Jackman writes his worm hydra on the multi-display machine by coercing the floating blue cubes to fit together.

Although I think traditional software development (i.e. software created by programmers who do software development as a full-time job) isn't likely to move out of the text-based IDE paradigm anytime soon, it's kind of interesting to see how the IDEs for user-developed software are changing. IDEs for this kind of software have to be much easier to use in order to gain any acceptance at all, almost by definition. Look for more of these Hollywood-esque IDEs coming in the near future as companies build more frameworks and allow users to put together their own custom applications.
