And here are the contenders for round 1c of CerealWars: Kellogg's All-Bran Bran Flakes, and Jordans Morning Crisp.
CerealWars Round 1c
The winner, by the biggest margin so far, is Jordans. Right when I picked it up in the store, I knew something about it was different. Maybe it was the fact that the box took up 45% less volume than the Kellogg's box, while still providing 5% more actual cereal by weight. How is this possible, you ask? Doesn't it defy the laws of physics? Why, not at all! It just means the people at Kellogg's are in the business of selling you air, not cereal! But let us put aside the fact that the Kellogg's box is larger in every dimension except the one that matters. I'm sure we can find other things to mock it for.
Such as... the picture! Take a look at the pictures above. As is customary of overpriced garbage cereals, the Kellogg's box shows their cereal in a bowl with some sort of fruit, in this case blueberries. Alas, upon opening the box and pouring out some cereal, the blueberries were nowhere to be found. Believe me, I looked. It was very sad, but then imagine my joy when I poured out the Jordans cereal and there were actual bits of strawberry inside! Just like on the picture! Truly, it was a sight to behold.
I should also mention as an aside that the Jordans box is the first cereal box I have encountered where the flap thingy at the top actually closes perfectly ever single time. With regular cereal boxes the cardboard is too stiff and it's usually a pain to insert the flap into the slot it's supposed to go in. Not so with the Jordans box; it's made of some different material that's actually suited for the purpose it's used for.
As if all that wasn't enough, the Morning Crisp cereal tasted better in just about every way. When you pour the cereal out of the box it's kind of lumpy and irregular, but it has a great texture when you stick it in your mouth. It's granola-ish, but it doesn't fall apart in the milk, just sort of breaks into bite-sized chunks. And the strawberry bits practically come alive in the milk. The whole experience is pretty darn awesome.
The All-Bran Bran Flakes, on the other hand, tasted reasonable but got soggy pretty fast. Also a lot of the flakes were really oversized crumbs and were annoying to fish out of the milk. That's really all I have to say about that.
I expect this Morning Crisp cereal to go pretty far in CerealWars, and if you're in the mood to try a new cereal I wholeheartedly recommend it.

And if you want fruit, you can get special K with strawberries, or special K with blueberries. I actually like special k quite a bit. I eat the strawberry one daily.
